Tomini Oloketuyi is the Founder and Principal of MINIDA, where she leads the studio’s creative direction and design philosophy.
With an Advanced Interior Design certification from Istituto Marangoni, Milan, Tomini brings a multidisciplinary perspective shaped by a background spanning strategy, operations, project management, branding, and finance. This breadth of experience has shaped the way she approaches design: not as an isolated creative exercise, but as the intersection of people, place, function and execution.
Her philosophy is rooted in the belief that the most successful spaces are both beautiful and deeply considered. Rather than imposing a singular aesthetic, she begins with an understanding of how people live, work and connect, allowing each project to develop its own identity in response to its context and the people who experience it.
Under her direction, MINIDA has developed a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial and hospitality projects across Nigeria and the continent. Across each, the studio brings the same commitment to intentionality — from the overarching spatial experience to the smallest detail — ensuring that creative vision and functionality remain inseparable.
For Tomini, good design is ultimately about creating spaces that feel entirely their own: considered, enduring and distinctive, without being defined by a moment or trend.
MINIDA is an Interior Design and Architecture studio, creating spaces that are considered, expressive and enduring. Our multidisciplinary team brings together designers, architects, engineers and project managers to shape environments that respond thoughtfully to the people who inhabit them and the context in which they exist.
We believe the most compelling spaces balance form and function, with a sense of place, purpose and personality. From the overarching spatial experience to the smallest detail, our work is guided by intentionality and a commitment to creating spaces that are as considered in how they function as they are in how they feel.
Rooted in Lagos, our work extends beyond borders.
